Dr. Sakib is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (courtesy) at UTA. His research goal is to apply multidisciplinary knowledge and skillset to understand and advance the human-technology frontier to benefit future development towards a sustainable and resilient AEC industry.

Abir Khan Ratul is a Ph.D. student in Civil Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington and holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. His research focuses on extended reality, generative artificial intelligence, drones, and humanβrobot interaction in construction. He is developing SKYGEN-XR, an immersive training system funded by NSF and is designed to improve drone operation and FAA compliance education. His work also examines how robot embodiment and behavior influence human trust, workload, safety, and performance during collaborative construction tasks.

Sanju is a Ph.D. student in Civil Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington and holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Before joining UTA, he worked for over two years in the construction industry on national infrastructure projects. His research focuses on extended reality, automation, and 3D printing.

Jayeda Aziz Jebun is an Honors Architectural Engineering student and REU Scholar with a strong interest in how emerging technologies can enhance the resilience and intelligence of the built environment. As an Undergraduate Researcher in the Intelligent Systems and Emerging Technologies (iSET) Lab, she explores the integration of digital twins with physics-based XR simulations to create immersive training environments for hazard recognition, navigation, and decision-making. Her work sits at the intersection of smart infrastructure, AI/ML, BIM, drones, and VR/AR, reflecting her passion for interdisciplinary innovation in architectural and structural systems.
Sheikh Ajmaeen Ahmed

Sheikh Ajmaeen Ahmed is an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering student with a strong focus on autonomous robotics, intelligent controls, and human-robot interaction. As a Volunteer Research Assistant in the Intelligent Systems and Emerging Technologies (iSET) Lab, he investigates co-adaptive navigation and human-in-the-loop control architectures for unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) operating in complex environments. Drawing from hands-on expertise in CAD modeling, software development (Python/C++), and competitive robotics engineering, his personal interests center on bridging the complete hardware-to-software pipeline by exploring multi-sensor perception, intelligent motion control, and mechanism design to build versatile, self-navigating robotic systems.
